Stardict Pronouce function not working in Sarge

Dear Roy Chan:
I am running the StarDict 2.4.3 on Debian Sarge.
Form the StarDcit Web site : http://stardict.sourceforge.net
It said that :
"WyabdcRealPeopleTTS package make StarDict can pronounce those English words. It is just many .wav files.
Please extract(use WinRAR in Win32) the tarball and install it at "/usr/share/"(Linux) "
I have download it and installed it as above.
I have also chicked the enable button on :
StarDict -> Preference -> Options -> Pronouce the word when pop up.
But StarDict does not pronounce the word .
Since you are responsible for this Debian package,
Can you help and let us know how can make it work ?

apt-get install esound
esd &

Thanks, it work on starDic now.
But, after enabled esd , the Realplayer 10 and firefox does not work . They could not play any sound file.
For realplayer , it display that another application may be using it.
For firefox, it just wait forever when chick on the web sound source.
They were working before running esd.
Please help on this.

StarDict no Sound on Etch
Dear Roy :
I have charged my Debian form Sarge to Etch.
But the StarDict have no sound on reading the word.
I have checked the Essound was installed and I can play wav file on Totem without problem .
So, what is the problem, any one got the same problem ?
How to solve it ?
