[問] AMD64

有無人用緊AMD64呀?

上網見到好像只有非官方板的debian有amd64,
唔知好唔好用,方唔方便?
好像有好多o野,都要用(chroot + 32bit)先用到,不知現在是否這樣?

我想買部amd64玩(for desktop),
有無人可以出來講下"amd64 + debian"?

try ubuntu

Have you check http://www.hk.debian.org/ports/amd64/ ?

Or you can try ubuntu linux, they got AMD64 ports

AMD64的应用还比较少；

AMD64的应用还比较少；比较麻烦。
我部门有两台AMD64的机器；一台做server(使用BSD)；
还一台，装什么，什么不能用：装XP64，大量软件不能运行（注册机不行），
装debian amd64（vmware不能运行。）

我正在用Debian-AMD64

很不错～几乎所有的包都已经移植了～

应该说，没什么感觉，和Debian-i386一样。因为，包很全。到目前，甚至都还没有chroot到32bit的需要。

Just let everyone knows that
Installing Ubuntu AMD 64 on Sempron 64 bit was okay. I tried yesterday night. No apparaent. Firefox and email okay.
I will try installing tomcat, jdk and eclipse.

Anyone knows how to install Oracle Express Edition RPM version
into Debian or Ubuntu?

That's a problem with i386 bi

That's a problem with i386 binaries requiring i386 libraries.

You might need to have the i386 versions of the needed libraries installed, or setup an i386 chroot environment.

If it's in RPM, it's most lik

If it's in RPM, it's most likely that the binaries would be aimed at FC/RH. Therefore all dependancies would also be based on FC/RH.

You're better off getting tarball versions, if available.
